QA on LA463 loader - new thread

It turns out that the view from the driver's seat is not the same as on the ground

I would have sworn that the back of the bucket when fully curled was quit a bit higher than the QA tab. But they are really almost level. Even so the QA Tab on the loader arm DOES touch the ground and I frequently drag it by accident when detaching the bucket, pallet fork, etc. The good news is that the Tab is very sturdy and protects the arm itself. You may want to add a tab

Thanks for the pics. I think my setup will be fine, although if done absolutely right, I think the adapter plate should be at least a few inches higher on the bucket than where I attached it. There is also a tab on my QA arms, but I don't think it is quite as hefty as yours... of course my tractor and loader is a much lighter model than yours also.

That tab is just the bucket stop so we are not using the cylinder pistons as stops.

Bigger bucket= bigger stop.

I agree that the tab's _main_ purpose is "to limit the range of the QA plate rotation" as I stated in my first post in this thread. But they also protect the loader arm because they hit the ground first and take most of the wear if you accidentally drag them on the ground.

In any case, I'm happy that my LA724 QA has thick tabs
