Any of you super wrenches have a procedure or special homemade tool for compressing the heavy spring together enough to get the roll pin in and then releasing the spring? I had to take the drive line off as much of it was seized up as well as rusted together. Got the parts to replace and am now fighting the spring. Any help (advice or muscle) much appreciated. Thanks, Carpetbagger

I have a tutorial on how to make a jig. It's in a thread called "what a rag" over on "Only Cub Cadets"

I guess a model number, part numbers and a photo of the problem would be a big help it use figuring out how to help you.

without seeing the problem, would a valve spring compressor work?.

It's a gear drive cub. The spring is like a 200# spring.
