purchase Rain flapper ?

Where do you buy your exhaust rain flappers?
I would like to buy or build flappers for my tractor and
diesel generator(under construction).
Anyone build any from scratch?
Any photos or links to photos with good closeups ?

I bought mine from Tractor Supply Company. They had an assortment of sizes for different diameter exhaust pipes.

ourfarm,this is just a personal opinion,but,you might consider using a exhaust turnout instead of a flapper,after 25 years of hearing those flappers on tractor trailers (i'm a mechanic) constantly clap,clap,clapping at idle i don't ever want to hear it again!! plus a turnout can be rotated to point the exhaust fumes away from you.just a thought!

I bought mine from TSC. It lasted about a week, and when it fell apart, I was so happy for the silence again, I never replaced it.

I like the idea of turning the pipe out instead of a flapper. The noise will just drive you crazy!!!!!!

i always liked that, sorta a heavy duty sound, i even used to have a lawn tractor that had a flapper on it

I had added flapcaps to all my verticle exhaust tractors, and kinda liked the rattle a bit. I think I got mine from TSC. However my latest tractor.. a 7610s.. has a turnout permanently installed, so After i park it under the shade structure.. I also use the 'can' route

I purchased one from tractor supply for my NNA, the flapping drove me more nuts than I already am so I drilled a 3/8" hole in it and added a 3/8" bolt and enought washers to counter balance it, now it works great and doesn't make any noise!
