No, no, no Carl, the new hoses have half the bend radius. For example, both 1/2" hose. Old hose, min bend radius, 7" for a 180 degree bend. New hose, 3.5" bend radius, same 180 degrees. The new hoses also weigh about 25% less, another added bonus.

Oh La La. Will have to ask... Is the Outer Diameter bigger?

Pretty frikin cool... Especially for this PTO hose replacement as it is going to be a bit of a nightmare...

The 100R16 that Andy mentions is slightly smaller in outer diameter also (about 10% less). Given the number of hoses in that tunnel, that might add up. I do not know if that means it has less abrasion protection.

The order described below looks to me as if it safety driven. It is akin to disconnecting the high voltage line in a unit first, then neutral, then ground.

As to male/female convention, why do some countries drive on the right side (that is left side) and others drive on the wrong, (that is right) side of the road?

I may have an answer to my question by looking up data on the Internet. It seems that the pressure outlet is male, and the return side is female. The data goes on to state the correct procedure for QD hook up.

To couple, always connect the return hose first then pressure.

To decouple, disconnect pressure first, then return .

The tool apparatus or motor input should have a female QD, and the return side should have a male QD.

I believe this data is correct, but I still don't know why.

It maybe that the pressure inside the hose will aid in removing the QD.

If anyone has a better answer, please post your reasoning.
