I need to remove the dash on my Kubota M 6800, so the steering wheel has to come off. Obviously I need a special tool. Thought about adapting a gear puller but don't want to damage the plastic. Any tips?? I assume this is just a splined shaft with a pressed on wheel. Are there any other parts, like an indexing spline, that I need to be careful with when this releases and pops off?
Also I guess the dash will just lift up once the wheel is off (I hope). I need to cut out holes for light switches and install switches for aux lights. Is the speedometer cable going to restrict the movement? Thanks for any advice!
