We have the Kubota pin-type Quick-Attach for our loader (LA402 on a B2910)

When we bought the tractor, the dealer didn't have the Kubota pallet forks in stock ..... but did have a pair of Woods DUal pallet forks for a skidsteer which he was willing to give us a deal on ...

Since the pin-type mounting brackets on the Woods forks wouldn't work for our loader, I had a neighbor who is a welder fab up a pair of new brackets from some scrap rectangular tube. I had to ream/hone out the holes so that the pins fit properly (alignment) .... wasn't too big a deal ....

The Quick-Attach makes it far easier to change implements - although it is probably a little more sensitive to alignment than a typical skidsteer QA ..... dunno .....

I usually have to tweak the loader curl or lift to get the second pin in after getting the first one in .... on either the forks or the 60" light materials bucket.

I'm glad we have the pin-type QA ....... however ........

If I had it to do over again I'd probably spend the money on a skidsteer QA - mostly because it's my observation and understanding that attaching things would be even easier .....

When I'm working on a project with the tractor, I wanna be doing that - as opposed to messing around with trying to fight some implement to get it on the tractor so I can continue with what I'm really doing ..... don't much care for aggravation .... probably the reason I have a Speeco Quick-Hitch for the 3PH .....

Being able to use other (skidsteer QA) attachments is a secondary consideration and is less important ..... probably because alot of the attachments for skidsteers require high hydraulic flow ..... although being able to rent a skidsteer QA concrete bucket from the local rental yard could be kinda handy ....

I went ahead and ordered the ATI kit. I figured, who knows if I'll ever need to use a skid steer attachment, but I hate regret worse than anything. This way, I have it available, and have the QC capability as well.

Still seeking trailer.

Tomorrow's the day!

I think tonight is going to be like Christmas eve, when I was a little kid. Don't know if I'm going to be able to sleep. Cruel part is that I have knee surgery on Tuesday, won't have much time to play before I'm laid up, but doc says only about a week.

Will post pics!

If you have hills the wheel spacers are good. I got the Kubota QA and it is the best money I have spent. A thumb for the BH is pretty useful. If you are not going to have it on grass very often there is no reason not to load the tires. Bucket hooks are great and wont cost your dealer too much.
Get what you need now - it is easy to spread it over 5 years at no interest. If you are getting more than 5 years at zero percent make sure you are getting a good price.

Hi Donn,

I had them load the tires, won't be operating much on grass. I'm with you on the "get it now", with the zero rate, it doesn't add much to the payment.

Funny, a thumb is one thing I've been back and forth on. Thinking about seeing if they have one in stock when I go for my "walk thru" tomorrow.

No hills on my land, pretty much flat as a board, so the stability won't be much of an issue at home.

I got 7 years no interest, price was under the website "build your Kubota" price. Price I'm paying seems to be in line with what I'm seeing here.

Good luck with you knee surgery

Thanks. I tried to post some pics last night. Maybe someone here with more computer savvy will know what I'm doing wrong; Downloaded to computer, when I went to attach it, hit "browse", found pic, hit "upload", and I get the same "Internet explorer could not display the page" message that pops up when I lose Internet service.

Computers make me feel impossibly dumb.

Thx for the surgery well wishes; No tractor play for at least a week. It's even worse having it out there and not being able to play than not having it at all....

Mike,

Congratulations on the new tractor. Sorry you won't be able to play with it for a week or so. Hope you recover from the knee surgery quickly. I had knee surgery a couple of years ago and recovered quicker than I expected.

I bought the same tractor about a month ago. Already have 35 hours on it and it's a hard working little devil. I've done some things with it that I didn't think it would do and I didn't even get the backhoe with it. I did get a box blade which has been very useful. One thing that I was having a problem with was accidentally hiting the 3 point hitch lever while using the FEL and lowering the box blade when I didn't intend to because the lever is very easily moved. After I tore up some of the yard with it I learned to lock it in the up position when I'm not using it so that wouldn't happen. I don't forget that now. Let me know how the backhoe works out with it. That may have to be my next addition.:)

Best wishes on your surgery; know what its like and it sure is hard to stare out the window at new equipment.

I quit using Internet Explorer a long time ago and use Mozilla Firefox. I usually have to resize my photos due to slow connection out in the boonies.
