Pulled the trigger on a new Kubota Grand L5460

I went with the Kioti NS 6010 HST being delivered tomorrow for the above reasons and the dealer is only 30 minutes away, money save I added a 77" wide grappler and put the rest towards a PTO wood chipper and stump grinder.

The NS is a really nice machine; it has a few things that could be improved upon- but it would be my choice if I went larger than the CK. I hope in the next iteration they do a more traditional fold to the ROPS.

After countless hours of reading thru forums, watching reviews, looking at the dealers in person, talking with sales people. I finally convinced myself to put a down stroke on one today. Once I decided on a Grand L60 cab today, then I had to pick between a 54hp or 60hp which took me at least another hour 😂. Dealer is really busy so won’t be putting it together and delivering til week after next.
And I was so close to picking the 60hp, as they were going to let me have it for $1,900 more. But my common sense side told me I could get a much needed attachment for the difference . The Kubotas are so expensive anyways.
I almost went with the MF2860 M deluxe cab. They have so many standard features and still less money than the L5460 with nothing other than R4 tires and 1055 loader.
Have an L6060 HST with LA 1055 loader and really like it. Live in a private large oak forest that is not cab friendly but the whitetails are unbelievable. Get a grapple if you're dealing with trees.

Nice. Did you end up getting it ? If so , how are you liking it ?
I still haven’t backed out on my deal and asked for my deposit back.
Not sure what I’m going to do yet.
I think I’d likely be better off going with a smaller tractor, maybe like a DK series or a MF 1840 M. Think it would fit my property better.

Well, sorry for all the indecisiveness / flakiness , but I drove over today to look at the L5460 all put together and finished . As soon as I pulled up and saw it sitting out front I was hooked !! 😂
So I’ll either be getting it this coming Monday (if they have room for it and another much bigger new Kubota they sold in my town , on the same load) or Wednesday .
I’m pretty excited !

I am a consumer and the Kubota dealers near me didn't seem to want me to buy anything. I got the sense they wanted large ag farmers who would bring the vehicles back in for service on a regular basis. My Deere wasn't one of the ones made in Mexico but after Deere announced trashing US jobs in favor of moving to Mexico I still call it my "Juan Deere."
Around here the JD are almost all owned by a huge corporate monolith. They wouldn't give me the time of day.

The Kubota dealer was closer and nice enough, but like JD, they want a lot of $ for less tractor. I may have paid a few bucks more, but when we're talking 5 figures in price difference, no thanks.

You are going to love the HST+ transmission. It makes a huge difference, and HST+ also has other handy features to adjust the HST.

As for the horsepower, there are half a dozen Kubota's that all use that same 148.5 cubic inch engine in various states of tune. It's a good motor from about 40 up to over 60 hp. I think yours is a good compromise. Ours is 60 hp, and frankly 50 would do as well or better.

Kubota has been building that model line for a long time. That counts for a lot.

After a long wait , I’m finally going to get my new L5460 delivered Friday morning. But I have to work tomorrow, and just taking off an hour or two to meet them to unload, do paperwork and park it in the shop. So I won’t get to play with it til tomorrow evening.
Other than the loader and square back bucket, the only attachment I added was a Land Pride RB 3784 rear blade. Also ordered 2 chain hooks and 2 clevis mounts for the bucket from Bolt On Hooks. I didn’t dare bite off any more until I get a few things sold.

Well, I got it Friday morning! Other than moving it inside my storage building I haven’t tried it out yet. But hoping to use it a little over the long weekend.
