Have two L6060s a 2021 open platform and a 2023 cab.
They have been great and no issues.
Deere makes good tractors but the Kubota's are better in my experience for utility size machines.
Actually John Deere didn’t even make it into the top 4 choices for me. My top choices were : Massey Ferguson, Kubota, Yanmar and Kioti. I watched video reviews and reading on forums. The JD 4 series cab models had too many negatives. Having a 3 series cab on it with no corner windows, no recirculating mode for a/c, louder than other brands inside , plastic hood that fits like a saddle on a sow and also plastic fenders, crappy fuel fill location, door weatherstrips that fall off, weak door hinge pins, poor starting in the extreme cold, , tilt steering column with slop in the locked position, loader joystick handle that is sloppy loose on the lever, smaller cubic inch engine with less torque than all the others, no screens on the radiator and coolers , crappy battery location, and sure I’m forgetting stuff. Not to mention that they were supporting LBGTQ, which I am totally against.
I also passed up JD when I bought a new mower this summer. I got a brand far superior , by the name of Wright, which doesn’t even produce a non commercial mower. I didn’t want a brand of mower that sells a cheap line at Home Depot or other farm stores like JD does.
And from what I read, JD doesn’t even dominate the big ag machines like they maybe did years ago. So for ag tractors Fendt beats JD , and for compact and sub compact , at least a few or several brands seem to beat JD. The pretty green paint and their nostalgic name can only get them so far.
And the monthly magazine “The Furrow” most definitely doesn’t make it worth their price. I still get that in the mail from years ago when my dad always bought JD. I immediately file it in the trash can usually without glancing at anything in it
