PTO Shredder

Garden shredders do not have the capacity for the amount a neighbour and I want to shred. Has anybody built their own pto driven machine. It will be small diameter stuff and twigs with leaves attached. We had in mind free swinging hammers to do the business.

I would use a disk cutter. just a chipper like machine with the intake funnel mounted under an angle to the disk so that it pulls in material with each slice of a knife.

Sorry for the delay in getting back, and thanks for the input. We cannot mill parts. We are restricted to cutting, welding and drilling. Neither do we have a choice of steel. We have to take whatever the quality is in the size we need.

I would still prefer a hammer mill design rather than knives.
