The PTO shield on my 3520 ised to stay in the up position, now it will not. I cant figure out why. The only thing I see that could possibly hold it up is a bronze colored small bracket on the left(looking forward). But I dont see how to correct it. Any tips?

If you're writing about the cover on top of the tractor's PTO shield brackets...mine has never stayed up. In fact, it's spring loaded to the closed position which I would think, is a safer position.
In the 790's case, the cover opens to allow easier access when rigging an implement PTO shaft to the tractor's PTO. I can't see any reason this cover should remain open.

Your tractor may have a totally different design. Does the cover being closed impede PTO operation in any way?

Any chance of getting a picture or two?

Thanks, I will take some pics later. The piece of metal the covers the PTO output shaft used to stay up. allowing one to easily hook up the shaft. Now it qont hold in the up position.
