PTO Ratios

Does anyone know the Ratio of Engine RPM to PTO RPM on the Japan version of the Yanmar. Specificly YM2210. I know 1st gear is the closest for 560 RPM equipment and I think 1st PTO gear is 2:1, or if the engine is at 1000 rpm then the PTO is 500 rpm.

Somebody who owns a 2210 will give you a more precise answer, but I think its tachometer has a tic mark at 2200rpm, which gives 540rpm at the PTO.

So roughly 1:4 in PTO first gear.

Does your tachometer look like this one?

I think the pto speeds are

1st= 547
2nd=700
3rd=929
4th=1232

and that is at an engine speed of around 2200rpm.

What PTO speed is a Yanmar RS1303 tiller designed for?

My understanding is that it can be used in any/all of them. It just depends on your current soil conditions and the final soil texture you are looking for.

Looks simular but is only marked in units of 500, no extra ticks
