3-Point Hitch PTO operation from ground with 4010 Compact JD.

Same thing on my 2210. I think it says in the manual that it can be run out of seat but I can't figure it out. Don't have any attachments that require it so I don't sweat it.

Yes, like Ralph the 4010 was never setup to allow off-seat operation, unless you do some modifications. A hidden bypass switch wired in parallel is easy to install, and keeps the regular switch active for general use.

Thanks but"easy to install" on this tractor is a relative term, especially for me.Hate to have the switch fail when I'm running the generator, at night in the freezing cold. Probably will stick with the manual hold down suggestions.

How true. I think I found where I can "splice in". It will be a better option. Right now we have 40" of snow on the ground and expecting 3" of rain tonight, temp in the 40's. I need a break
