Have you tried to till with it yet? Even though it may not be the correct gearing it may still work OK.

I was just about to say the same thing. It's not like a mower that needs a certain rpm to work well.

I had a rototiller years ago that was adjustable. The gear cover was removable and it was possible to switch top and bottom chain sprocket. I don't remember the brand but it was made in Spain.

I have used it but it don't really mix up or break up ground like I feel it could. Also the ground has been turn-plowed to make it easier. The rotor speed is about half of what I have seen listed on all other tillers which is about 210-230 rpms. In other words I pretty much have to let the tiller push the tractor to get decent mix.
