PTO gear pump mounting question

I had some bracketry made for mine. It has available, a plate that interfaces between the increaser and the tractor. I had a local friend fabricate it. 'my' increaser has a vent but, the vent as has been said, can be moved to the side by swapping the vent/plug.

Does your setup (tractor) have two PTO output shafts?

You are mounting a pto pump for hydraulic pressure use. No idea what kind of pressure you need but give careful thought to it. I have one for a boom mower and that pump is somewhere about 3500 psi I think is correct, could be 4,000 psi. That is right high tourgue to be held in place. I failed to have mine locked in place one, nothing serious done, well if you don't mine the cost of about $400 for two twisted hyd hoses... Was not an issue until the mower was engaged. Very fortunate no serious damage was done.

yes, its an International 1066 and has both 1,000 and 540 ptos

Ok that account for the shaft with nothing attached...

So what does the increaser do and does it speed up the hydraulic pump?

It allows the pump to turn at the proper speed since the PTO turns at 540 rpm, it will increase that speed to about 1000-1100 rpm for the pump.

as i understsnd, it increases 4x but i may be wrong
