PTO Engage/Disengage

I have a problem that maybe someone has seen before. I purchased a new John Deere 5205 about a month ago. It is a wonderful machine and I just turned over 75 hours. Recently I noticed that when I put the PTO engage lever in the disengage position, the PTO continues to SLOWLY spin. When I put the PTO lever in the ENGAGE position, the PTO does not spin at all -but- if I position the lever CLOSE to the engage position, the PTO spins as it should. I suspect that this is a simple matter of just needing the linkage adjusted. Has anyone seen this problem?
