PTO and 3-pt

Okay since I am new to all this I have a cost/value question. I have a 455 and want to add the PTO and 3-pt I found both from the same person. He is asking $900, new 3-pt and used PTO plus shipping. I don't like buying things like a PTO used with out tesating it out in person, but what do you folks think?

Too many unknowns for me to offer a 'go ahead' suggestion here. Given the questions you have had so far about this tractor, I wouldn't advise you to be taking off the rear of your tractor and adding the PTO and 3pt. I'd suggest you get some of this tractor 'under your belt' before moving fast on the other additional things. There still may be a reason this tractor is 'free' and if me, I would want to know what they are first. Sorry if that isn't enough help. /forums/images/graemlins/crazy.gif

If you have mechanical experience installing the PTO it isn't bad and the 3 point is easy, otherwise let a dealer do it. If you decide you won't purchase the 3 point and PTO email me as I would be interested in it for my 455.
