I talked to Scott today and he talked to Terry. The torque increase for the new PT425 wheel motors is 30%. Not bad.

Really... With all the stuff that he's been doing with his tractor. Just goes to show that lots of torque isn't everything... /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif

I see that I should have asked more questions. For example:
1. Can you retrofit a 425?
2. What would it cost?
3. Can you retrofit a 422?
4. What would it cost?
5. Does the 422 gasoline engine have enough power to drive the bigger motors to full torque?
6. Who makes the motors and can we buy them directly from the manufacturer and at what cost?
7. Are the mounting plates the same for old and new motors?
8. Do we really need it, or are we just being greedy?

I will let somebody else ask the above questions.

May be time to upgrade to a new PT-425!! There must be plenty of 'flatlanders' on TBN who would be perfectly happy with a Torqueless PT, and would be willing to pay a fair price for it!!

Put the new PT-425 on your Christmas list along with the 21" monitor!! Have you been a good boy this year!??!
