Barry, If you don't need to keep the trees long for any reason, I would raise the tree up with the forks and cut into 8 ft sections, and lift 3 or 4 eight footers at a time and do what you got to do.

I'm a little curious about this statement, you mean use them to prod into the ground and dig up plants?

Yes, but then again, I got to thinking that your forks may not be adjustable. If they are adjustable, push them together and jam them under your plants at a 45 degree angle to loosen up the soil, then go to the other side and do the same thing , but lift the plant out of the ground. If you have non-adjustable forks, you might want to invest in one of these.

Great work on the stump my friend! I see you've left your cab on. Not too hot to leave it on in the summer? By the way in the shot where you were worrying about the "junk"... I couldn't focus on anything other than the PT and the view! /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif In other shots I remember seeing you're house from the drive side looking up the hill but this is a beautiful overlook out the front. Any luck with the neighbor parting with a few more acres?

I have just really started on the landscaping, this is just the tip of the iceberg. The junk will disappear. /forums/images/graemlins/smirk.gif No, the cab so far has not been to bad. I have panels around the floor area I can take out, along with the side windows so it breaths well. I also have a fan that I have not installed yet. I plan to repaint it, and refine it some more before winter. I like it so much I have decided to just leave it on. Got my beer holder arm rest, and the thick windows up front have also provided protection in the woods from large tree branches.

Have not gotten around to talking to the guy next door just yet. He does not appear to be too friendly, so I will have to figure a way to strike up a conversation without being to obvious. /forums/images/graemlins/smirk.gif Looking forward to seeing some pictures of your 180 in action. Since we seem to be the only 180 owners other than Beechwood that post. Hint hint.
