i was wondering if anyone has had problems who has switched there b7800 to a quick attach front? anything like less lift cap, or more trouble then it is worth. i want to do it to mine, but for the money i want to make sure it wont be more of a pain then it is worth. thanks all

Are you referring to the Kubota Quick attach (not skid steer type)? If that's what you are referring to then yes, I just converted mine to that setup a couple months ago. I too was worried about reduced lift capacity, less roll-back force, etc but found it to be a non-issue. One added benefit is that it put the bucket a little further away from the tractor which actually makes is easier to see and seems like it's easier to make a level cut with it also.

What QA are you looking at using? I've just been looking into this myself, and wondering if the brackets from the B-3200 will fit the LA-402 ..

i was looking to put on a skid steer attachment, seems like it had more options then the kubota one. i believe ATI makes one, but i really hadnt thought about brand yet. so please keep posting, i want all the pros and cons before i drop a grand or two

I know some guys here have done the skid steer conversion. Quite a bit of cutting and welding.
Looks to be a fair amount of steel, and consequently a fair amount of weight, and it out far.
Whatever weight is added is subtracted from the lift capacity.

I made my own and couldn't be happier.

i know there is a lot of welding if you keep you bucket, my intent was to trade in my bucket for a bobcat made one, it was only $100 more then welding plate and labor, this way i don't loose the structural strength of the bucket. so the added weight wasn't as much of a concern as the move out, and any other unforeseen problems.

so the man with the big rock, is your a Q/A? i couldn't tell from the pic, it it is do you have any more pics?

I have the ATI SSQA and love it. I worked it into the deal when I bought the tractor last yr. As for the bucket the dealer kept my original bucket and put on a Woods 60" bucket that comes predrilled for a reversable cutting edge. All in all I think the setup is great, i use my forks as much as I use the bucket.

Yes it is. I took the BX Tach-n-Go and adapted it to my B7800. The grapple is a Q/A as well, #100 including the cylinder. So basically all the stuff made for a BX you can use on your B7800. If you want more pics just ask.
