Tried to scrape my driveway yesterday and I kept getting ice left behind. Checked the bucket and the edge is not straight. Anyone else see this before? I sent an email to the dealer, waiting for a responce.

Looks worn on that side. It could be a little crooked to start, causing wear on that side. Or you may favor that side and not know it.

Oh sorry, now I see it says new. Nevermind. I can't read!

It looks to be made that way,,, what does the other side look like?

Maybe a defective cutting edge was welded on?

There are so called Spade Nose Buckets. Do both ends of cutting edge look the same?

Yah. Only 9 hours on the machine and I have a plow and blower. First time I use the bucket. It appears ok on the other side.

The guy that made that bucket did that one before his morning coffee,,,

Looks like it is worn. Guess some metal splinters are visible in the pic 1.

Good catch. From the looks of it I would say it was drug backwards. Our 2650 bucket is straight as an arrow, even after 270 HARD hours.

Yeah, if you look carefully it has been worn down in that corner somehow. The edge itself looks like it was straight (based on the "facet" feature line you can see in the photos)

I have seen some cases where the edge wasn't stitch-welded perfectly and bowed a little, but this one definitely looks like wear due to the metal curling up there.

Is it possible the bucket is not level and that caused the excessive wear in that corner? Check tire inflation to make sure left and right (on both front and back) are the same.

I used to buy several tons of cutting edge at a time, similar to that,,

The bevel is rolled on the edge.
Occasionally, a defective end would show up.
It looked like that. It was rather common.

The cutting edge should have been culled and scrapped,,
but, the welder was probably the "inspector",, he missed it,,,
