Problem with MTD 25 ton splitter - 4 second delay to 2nd stage

I thought I remember seeing an adjustment screw to set the crossover pressure on the pump. It might be behind a cap that would need to be unscrewed. I would look the pump over, try to find out the model (I would guess it's a 11gpm Barns two stage pump). Either the adjustment is set wrong or maybe there's something stuck inside it causing it not to work correctly.
