Problem With Engaging/Disengaging MWFD John Deere 5065e

   / Problem With Engaging/Disengaging MWFD John Deere 5065e #11
No one has mentioned giving the throttle a "burp" when in a slow roll (going from a rapid acceleration to a rapid deceleration) and there will be a moment in between when the drive train is "unloaded" and she pops right out (or in) "like butter".

Or:
Try engaging/disengaging it while backing up.
Between these two, I've never had to lift the front wheels with loader or do the turning thing.

Did any of these suggestions work?
I am having a problem disengaging the MWFD on my John Deere 5065e. I know its not a good practice, but because of the muddy operating environment around here I leave the MWFD engaged most of the time. Today i was moving the tractor over to another area of our farm operation and moving on blacktop. I tried to put it back into 2 WD and couldn't get the lever to budge. I went to the manual and followed the procedure to the letter and still couldn't get it to move from MWFD to 2wd.

Anyone have any suggestions on this? I may just take it in to the dealer. The tractor is still under warranty.

Turning wheels full lock while rolling ahead should do it.

If you are on slick surface blipping throttle will work too.

This works for me. I come out of a field, slow down and as I feel it unload and just before I speed up, push the lever out of FWA. Works for me.

You can also be stopped, start going again and then let off the throttle and shift out of FWA. No problem.
