problem with 3pt.

I have an L2500. I have been using the backblade today quite a bit. After making a pass on my work I raised the blade and when the 3pt reached the top, it began to pulsate. I have plenty of fluid, I also tried to rasie and lower a few times. Dealer is closed. I treid to rasie and hold it at a slightly lower position but it still does it. Tractor only has 90hrs. It also has a FEL.

How many hours are on the machine? Does the FEL exhibit a pulsating problem as well? It may be a sticky relief valve if the FEL does the same.

This probably far fetched, but it may be a harmonic frequency thing. I dont know if tractor designers analize for this but if the natural frequency of the tractor in this position is close to the of say the natural motor frequency then you might have an induced motion from the motor. Did you shut the motor off in this position?

Noe the Fel does not do it. I even diconnected it from the tactor to see. The 3pt. is the only one affected.
The tractor only has 90hrs.

Not that I recall. It started after I had been working the unit for at least 20min or longer.

I am sure that at somepoint I have shut the engine down with the 3pt raised then lowered it.

Well I am taking it to the dealer. We think it is a relief vavle inside the tractor.

Will let you know what happens.

Well I know it has been awhile but, I did get the 3pt fixed.

It turned out that somehow the piston and the bore it rides in (in the top cover) became scratched enough to tear the o-ring inside. This allowed fluid to bleed off.

The fix was a new topcover, piston and many small parts.

Works great now.
