problem with 3720

I, this my first post.
I have a probleme with one of my JD3720
I use my tractors for snow removal so they are not used in summer time.
I just start them once in a while during the summer and let them run for a while.
This week i start one of them and as i turned the key the tractor ran forward as if i ad the pedal to the bottom, the problem is that my foot was not even touching the pedal.
If i put it in neutral before starting the engine there is no problem, the engine runs good but i cant put it in gear.
Any ideas what could the problem be ??

Is this a hydrostatic with a stuck dry clutch? Did you start it w the hydro pedal(s) in neutral and foot clutch depressed? Sounds like a stuck clutch. Lots of threads on here about dealing w one.

my guess from reading your other thread about corrosion is that you
remove snow, but also spread salt in winter?
if so, you may be suffering from some additional corrosion on your
tractor in the linkages of your hydro pedals, or the potentiometers that
send signal to computer for forward movement are corroded... or any number
of connections even though they are supposedly weather tite...
do you spread salt or some other corrosive icemelt in winter?

No, we dont spread salt but we are working on salted Streets.
I took a look at the pedals linkages and they look like new.
But as you mention, other electrical components may be affected.
Looks like i will have to call the service on this one..
