BTW - the tractor mechanic a quarter mile from my place called and my tractor is ready! Fixed 3 hyd leaks, welded a cracked box blade, welded 3 hooks on the FEL, and I'm sure gave her a good talking to as well.

Takeaway from that last BTW, is "my mechanic is within tractor-driving-distance".... jealous?

Look for any books or articles written by Gene Logsdon. I looked him up on Amazon and Wikipedia, he's still kicking. Great writer, knows how to do things old school without making too much of a fool out of yourself. I found him helpful bringing an 1830s dump up to late 20th century and still retain some of the old look.
