Price Check pricing used Kubota

We found a Kubota B1550 tractor with under 400 hours on it for $6,500 OBO. It was made in 1992 or 1993. It has a front end loader, scraper, rock rake, and cultivator. Is this a decent deal? Is there a website we can go to and find prices for attachments for used tractors such as this one? We need a tiller for farming a very small vegetable farm.

That price is in the ballpark assuming it's in good shape. I would offer $5.5k and haggle from there. The implements do add some value. As for used pricing...you have to do your own research. Search the net for tractor dealers and Craigslist and E-bay and use some common sense and you can figure out what the going rates are...and those rates vary quite a bit by region.

I see that the 1550 was made in 2WD and 4WD configurations. If its 4WD I would say that is a good price. I had a B7300 that had very similar specs and it was a great tractor and was quite capable for its size. Your best bet on finding a tiller is checking with the local tractor dealers and classifieds. Ebay and craigslist are good places to get ideas but unless you find a local one shipping charges would eat up the cost savings pretty quick.

Welcome to the forum. You know that it does not matter if the tractor is old or new, it can use any of the category 1 attachments available on the market that are the right size. For a tiller you will most likely want a 4' tiller that off sets to one side. Tractor Supply Company (TSC) is a good place to look for reasonable price attachments, if they are in your area.

I'd check with a parts supplier to see if parts are still readily available. Kubota changes models so frequently I wonder if they support repairs on older models.
