Price Check pricing a backhoe

Hello from Idaho! I want to buy a backhoe for my new L 3400HST. I've been quoted $7000. installed from the dealer 60 miles away. Does this sound about right? Thanx..Randy p.s. the quote is for model bh-75 with 12" bucket

That sounds high. I've ordered an L3400DT (gear) with the BH75, 16" bucket, and he's charging me $5800. He quoted me $7000 for a BH90 that would have gone on a L3830GST. Unless demand in your area is huge (and/or supply is low), he should come down quite a bit on it.

I was quoted $6000 for a B4672 with 12" bucket and subframe installed on a B7610.

You do tend to get a better deal when u buy ur attachments when purchasing the tractor. If the dealer sells it as a package he tends to drop the price more because hes making money on more purchases, some of those attachments may not sell for a bit so the fast he moves the better for the dealer. I dont know how much it would cost u for a backhoe, just pointing out that the 5800 is prob lower than what you will pay for a backhoe

It also costs much more money in setup fee's to do the installation after the fact rather than doing when you buy the machine.

Picked up a Bradco 3375 for $4900 online. Had to buy a $300 kit to install.......brought it to local dealer to plumb hydraulics. Let you know what the total is.
