Welcome to TBN, gemstarfarm. IMO - you're in a good location in the country to negotiate a good price on a new JD - close to Georgia! :laughing: Anything from 15% off the MSRP on up is very good.

I priced a new 5045D in Feb. from James River. It had a 553 loader w/SSQA and a Woods SSQA bucket. Also included was a subsoiler, and hoodguard. The quoted price was $21652.64
This was for a 5045D not a 5055D. I think a 5055 is about $2,500 more.
I would suggest that you ask about rental returns. Sometimes you can save some money. I ended up with a rental return with 30 hrs on it. JD treats them as new tractors, not used.

Bit the bullet Saturday. My First brand new tractor will be ready by the 16th.....5055D and a 512 loader.

Highly recommend insisting on the 16.9-28 rear tires if not too late. Will aid in traction and give more weight when filling for ballast.
