Ok so I need to add some hy-gard transmission and hydraulic oil to my tractor JD 2355 (1st tractor) a hydraulic fitting cracked and spilled some fluid (everything is good other than the fluid lose, and cracked fitting nothing bad happened). So I read the manual and found out which one I need, which is regular hy-gard so I called the nearest dealer to me and they quoted me $96 for a 5 gallon bucket (just trying to have some extra on hand just in case) I read a few older posts from 2010 and they mentioned the 5 gallon bucket price to be around $55 which even with inflation over the past 4 years I can't see how the price went up $40+ on top of that.
I have yet to call around to more dealers, but I will later on today, so with that said how much do you pay for hy-gard oil and where are you located?
I had a bunch of things to do yesterday so I did not do much research I checked the Deere website and did not see a listed price, which led me to believe is a dealer sets price kind of deal, anyway just wanted to check and see how much you guys pay for it and see if the price I was quoted was right.
