Sounds fair, what year?
I paid $11.5K for my M4700 w/ 1400 hrs, faded, some rust, dings. Pluses were canopy, 2 rear remotes. Since I replaced 3 hoses and the front tires (age rot), Rears still had the new tire knobbies.

I haven't heard back from the m5700 owner, so I don't know the year yet or have more pictures. From what I see it's been put to work ,but normal rust dents, ect. Again I only have one picture

Year of manufacture doesn't really come into it.Not like a car or truck. The NH is a cabbed tractor with more power;just comes down to your needs and pocketbook.

Thanks for the input, it has one owner an older gentleman, stored in shed and one set of hydronic remotes. Is there any common problems/recalls that I need to check for?

See if he has a list of the required service......I think it is 100hrs,200hrs,400hrs,600hrs.ect.If they were done when required ,I would assume he took very good care.Again if you don't want a cabbed tractor that is a fair price for what you are getting and you could always offer a little less.

Thank you so much for your input, the new holland with cab is a scam on craigslist. Seller was using a third party to handle sale and shipping(included in price) he claimed to be too busy to do it. It seemed fishy so I did a web search using part of his email and a few people had received the same email and story for different tractors

I drive by the lot that new holand tractor is setting on quit often. Here is actual owners site he has been around for along time and have not heard anything bad about him Brockmeyer Equipment - Tractors

I bet he is asking more than 18.5k for it too. unless it is really high hours.

I agree, price seems fair on that kubota. A new equivalent would be close to double that.

I was about to comment that the TN75S NH with loader and cab should be closer to 30k unless its a scam or "distressed" somehow.

Regarding the M5700 - it's a lot of tractor and the price is decent for low hours and QA FEL. Remember that the hunt is half the fun of getting a tractor. The price can seem good but only if it's really the rig you want. There are a lot of tractors to chose from out there - little things can sometimes decide it - like for instance this one has nice big R1 rubber which some people want for their situation. Another person's uses may be more flat/paved and R4's can be a better choice. Also, decide now which major attachments (loader, cab, backhoe) you think you'll want and get a tractor that's already set up that way. Adding them later can eat $$. Good luck and have fun looking! As always, prompt cheerful refund if advice is bogus....Dick B

Like Newbury, I have a M4700. Very similar to the one you're looking at. Great, simple, reliable tractor with just the right amount of technology (i.e., no fancy electronics, etc). Good luck, sounds like a fair price for that machine if it checks out.

Well everything went great on Wednesday and I brought my new girl home. Fantastic tractor! No flash in the pan, just everything I need and nothing more. Easy to drive I love the tranny and shuttle shift. Fast acting loader and comfy captains chair. All I wanna do is put it to work, the wife can hardly get me to come in to eat. If the loader didn't block the lights so much I'd prob stay out all night. Great shape, good tread, LA1002 Loader with skid steer attach, 600 hours & at $17,500.... Good times.

$17500 for a 600 hour M5700 w/QA loader & shuttle is a nice deal no question. Does your co-pilot like it? When our first was that size I bolted a big azz car seat to the hood for mowing the grass lots - he slept like a baby. It had a serious rops in case the safety police saw us. No ill effects - he's 30 now and has his own Kubota ! Great purchase. Take care, Dick B
