Pressure washer purchase

I bought a GENERAC version I think 3500PSI at 3 GMP w a 6 or so HP motor, was 379 last spring. Works well & happy with purchase, they sold one bigger but was like 600 bucks.

Two votes for Generac. I got the 2700 PSI for $299. Also take a look at the Karcher T-Racer Wide Area Surface Cleaner T350. Greatest attachment since sliced bread.

yamaha came out with a nice one this spring. it is $$$$ though. Pressure Washer, Yamaha PW3028, Power Washer, powerful, reliable
has brass triplex cat pump, fancy sprayer, 30ft hose. as much as i use them i may get off my wallet after my current honda powered one from home depot gives out.

What ever you buy try to buy one with a cat piston pump, They run for ever.

I have to agree here. I worked on a lot of pressure washers. I built my own with a Cat pump and Generac 5.5 hp
horizontal OHV engine. Stay away from axial pumps and vertical shafts if you can afford to. Always look for a Brass
head assembly and stainless valves. Karcher has a lot of plastic in it.

Another thing you should consider is heat. Cold water works OK for some things but not so well for others.
I picked up an OLD L&A Crusader with a kerosene burner heater about 10 years ago and replaced the bad pump in it.
The total investment was about $400 for a 3.5 gpm, 2500 psi, heated unit. It still works great!!

I picked up a 2700 psi Troy Built from Lowes. Very nice. Has plenty of pressure and volume for the average homeowner. It was about $279 earlier this spring.

I went to electric washers and I am never going back to gas!
Northern tool sells some excellent electric models (commercial grade) for about $500. They seem to last very long time with no trouble. My buddy has his for more than 10 years with 0 trouble, mounted inside his garage right next to the overhead door, hard wired with lights like on-off switch. He has spring loaded hose rail with 50ft hose. Real nice.
Northern tool also has refurbished units on eBay for less.
