I am hoping to start work on establishing some prairie on part of my SW Wisconsin farm next year. After killing everything off (burning) and replanting prairie seeds, one of the steps in the process is to mow the future prairie down to 6" allowing the prairie plants to outgrow the weeds that come back after everything has been killed off. Any suggestions on how to modify or adjust a BCS 852 to cut at 6 inches ? I have a sickle mower which cuts right at the ground level, and a brush hog attachment which cuts at about 4 inches. I was thinking about adding some wheels to the sickle mower to raise the cutter, but then the BCS will be sitting at a very odd angle (plus this will be a long slow cutting job). Best option I can think of is taller tires, but how do I raise the mower deck off the ground ? Any and all suggestions welcome !

Thank you ! I did not know such an item was available. I think with taller tires, this might be just the ticket.
