I took the cover off to see what was in there. 2 shafts one for rear end and one for pto pump that the backhoe is running off of I take it. I cleaned it up a bit. There are 2 holes and these holes lead to where my leak is where that cover plate is. The family farm and tsc didn’t have the rings I needed so I’ll go to the new holland dealer. My cover plate is bent and I don’t know if it’s supposed to be so I want to bring that into them too. There was a lot of condensation so I plan on filling the compartment agin once I replace orings

Got the o-rings $1.67 and flattened and cleaned up the cover plate.

Any leaks?

Good idea to add gear oil to the gear train compartment - The PTO shifter will appreciate the lube.

for sure. even on the machines with hyds delete, oil in the sump is good. and if a pto is present, it is needed for seal life between compartments.

All has been good with the 821. I had to get a new battery and coil. I cleaned the sediment bowl and replaced screen and gasket and notice my carb leaking from a jet by the bottom of the bowl. It just worked itself loose. Tightend that and has been good to go. Waiting on 60 tons of limestone for driveway now. Thanks for your help on this one I learned a lot about this machine the last 3 months.

Same machine, I have a new issue where it will run fine for 10 minutes then stall out. This is with it just sitting there not driving it. I put new spark plug wires on it but that didn't change anything. They needed it bad anyway existing ones where way weathered and loose fitting. New points and spark plugs installed last year. I believe I set them right last year?
