My father has had one since 1965 ish. He bought it new. It's not his main tractor any more but it's still a workhorse. He swapped out the 12 HP engine for a 18 HP dual cylinder model about ten years ago. We had to do some mods to the frame, hood and front grill to make it fit. I see them on ebay all the time, there still seems to be a good market for them.

Here's mine. It's a 1979 1614. It has a 14 Hp Kohler K321 engine driving dual 3 speed transmissions for a total of 6 speeds forward and 3 speeds reverse. The bare tractor weighs in around 1000 pounds + 400 pounds in the rear weights + maybe 500 pounds for loader, bucket, etc. That Kohler gets a good workout. It's surprising what it can do!

jim great looking powerking i wish i had it i would lose my
desire for a kubota. i am thinking of unloading mine and
buying a small kubota. i have a 1977 24/14 1978 16/14 and
a 1982 16/18 and a newer fiberglass model. i have this crazy
urge to keep buying more of them!!

I have a 1958 Model 1624 with a Briggs 16 hp. It's still in the process of being restored. I'' post some pictures when I come across them. There is a very active collector community on Yahoo.

I called them a few years ago and at that time they still had on the floor a brand new 4wd one.
It was a few years old at the time.
If I remember right he said it was an 88 model.
There were very few made.
Heck it may have been a prototype.
No pto was the killer for them, along with the compact tractor revolution.
