Charlie, aren't some of these ISPs fun? I still can't get iwon.com, yet my ISP says there's no problem, they can get it just fine, and iwon says there's no problem on their end, so who knows where the problem really is.

MossRoad, I didn't try saving it; just assumed that I could. When I clicked on the link, it opened a blank IE window, then immediately opened Windows Media Player and downloaded and played it in that, and of course, I could replay it as many times as I wanted, so I assume/w3tcompact/icons/crazy.gif? I could have saved it.

I've found that on sites (such as mine/w3tcompact/icons/blush.gif) that Windows Media Player times out on, it is sometimes easier to right click on the link and choose "save target as" and then play it from my hard drive. Now here's the kicker; at home, I can do this, but at work "save target as" is grayed out and I cannot use it. At least tech support at my ISP responded tonight and they are looking at it. I told them that many people around the country are having mixed results downloading these files. Hopefully they will find something.

Before I developed the problem connecting to the site, I did download he files. I then had no problem getting them to run without any timeouts. I still have the "save target as" command, but that doesn't connect either. (I suspect next week everyhing will work, and we'll never know what the problem was. Happens that way in computers.)

The forklift test videos and all of the other videos have moved to this link. <A target="_blank" > Sorry for any inconveniences.

MossRoad, great job on the new video link. I was very impressed with your research prior to buying. I wll study the other videos after work tonight.

Thanks. I think I'll keep my day job though /w3tcompact/icons/tongue.gif and leave the good stuff to TBN.

All jokes a side, this is some great information! Power-Trac should put a link to your site! Thanks for making it and sharing the information!

Thanks. It also helps me keep track of things. I'll attempt to keep it up to date as months/years go by. Kind of a running history. So far, I've been very happy with the machine.

Winter has been predicted to return this week. We'll see how it handles the ice that they are calling for. My guess is it will do OK on my flat driveway. If it gets too bad, I'll consider the chains suggested by PTRich. They were very reasonable in price.

How did your Power Trac work on this snow (did you get any), I could of used one this morning to move the 1 foot we received (with more on the way). You know it is that wet heavy type!

We had about 5 inches of really wet heavy stuff yesterday. It handled it with ease. A little too easy. I got off in the grass and relocated some sod /w3tcompact/icons/shocked.gif. What's the nearest big town near you in MI?

I am South of Jackson and West of Ann Arbor by the MIS track!

Re: Power Trac PT425 Website access

MossRoad:
I am still in the curious situation that I can't access your website with IE5.5, on Windows 2000, but from the same machine I connect immediately through AOL 7. I am on a shared t1 line, TCP/IP. (Whatever those letters mean)
I assume the problem is something to do with a browser setting, but I haven't a clue what to do to fix it.
Any suggestions? Anyone else have the problem?

Re: Power Trac PT425 Website access

So you can access it through AOL, but not IE5.5 on the same machine?

I'm not familiar with AOL, but there might be some proxy settings in IE5.5 that need to be set up to match the one's in AOL. In IE5.5 look under tools/internet options/connections tab and push the LAN settings button. There are some check boxes and under the advanced tab there are more settings. Try to find the same type of setting under AOL, and set IE5.5 the same.

Hope this helps?

Re: Power Trac PT425 Website access

I couldn't find anything in AOL, which has IE embedded. IE5.5 is set to automatic detection of settings. AOL has a similar set of screens, but not the connestions or LAN screen.
I'll just have to connect through AOL when you post something new.
Incidentally, I sent a note to Kristie Asbury at Power Trac to take a look at your site. I also sent a picture of what I did to the back of my new 1845. A lot of companies would send back an immediate warranty cancellation, but somehow I doubt Power Trac will. Their warranty is already a lot more restrictive than we as buyers would like, but from what I hear they don't pay attention to the fine print either, and just solidly stand behind the machines.

Re: Power Trac PT425 Hydraulic PTO uses

They seem pretty good so far. Although they don't answer their e-mail, they do answer their phones, which is a twist from the way companies now do business(and I like that).

I asked them about using the hydraulic PTO for some projects like a log splitter or a backhoe. They said as long as I use open center valves, I will be OK. Apparently, you will damage the hydraulics if you turn on the PTO without a return path. I was thinking I should make up a short jumper hose to put between the in and out on the PTO when it is not in use to prevent any damage to the PTO in case I accidently bump the switch with out anything connected. What do you think about that?
