I guess they are getting political. Wonder what this means for Deutz, haven't seen a 2011 Tier 4 yet...

I was just looking at the Deutz site. I guess they have them but the configuration is all water cooled. Probably means all the Diesel lineup is going to go through a redesign of some sort or another. In my head about darn time but I don' mind Tier 4.

All of the other diesel engines have been converted, so I doubt that there are sympathetic ears around in DC.

It would appear to do away with the 1445, or result in an extra 15HP for the 1445. D2.2=35HP, TD=60HP, TCD=75HP, which I think correspond to naturally aspirated, turbocharged, and turbocharged with a charge air cooler. The power curves below get to max HP at a lower rpm, and keep it up over the 2200-3000 rpm range, so for many uses you wouldn't need WOT. The weight appears to be about the same.
