I love it!! :D :D Great job! I want to see it in action!

I was sketching plans for the same thing but I was trying to figure out how to make the drum interchangeable so I could switch it out for a Dethatcher, Sweeper, ???

I was also thinking of using a crank trailer stand for my adjustment on my Gauge wheels

What did you use for the 90 deg gear box?

What chain size did you use?

More info please.

Fantastic ! We need action shots or video. Do you know how much it cost you to build (with the assumption your labor was free)?

What exactly is that used for? Does it wind-row it? Or how does that work?

VERY NICE!... For the first go-round you're on the right track! I'm in the process of gathering parts for my 72" Rake build...Cant wait to see it all painted up and such.

Thanks for your replies, It costed me about $600 to build it . All though I did change the beater bar from a 4" sch 40 pipe to a 6". The other one worked great but, the case dragged the ground alot didn't want it to wear out as fast.

By the welding on the chain case this isn't your first time with a wire feed. Great job ! I bought a new old stock Finn 80" model ( used for 2 acres of sand soil by a lake ). The only mod I have to make is it is fixed at 15 degrees to the left by the hitch design. I'm going to remodel it to swival with a hydraulic ram. These machines are so great to straighten out humps, hills, windrow rocks, ect. I am going to build my own version of the Harley later on which would be the same as yours.... only a 7' width.
Do you have an album of other projects you made? Thanks for the pictures.

Well the cost of a new Power Rake or an ex demo model is steep these days with the Financial Gurus having fleeced all our funds and crashed our system. So Time is at hand and at your pricing this tool comes into the realms of having. I have been needing one for a while so thank you for the stimulation and inspiration.

Hi Scraperpan05;
Beautiful Job!
Can you post a picture of the chain assembly? Why did you switch to flatbars on the roller from the roundbars? Thank you.

Here's a picture of the chain assembly. I used #60 chain, i also made a idler sprocket to keep tension on the chain. The gear box is 1:1 ratio and is from surpluscenter.

I used normal 5/16" A36 flat bar. I should have used T1 or AR400 but costly. I had some flat bar laying around so i used it. But really both ways work great.
