Just purchased a CX25 and had the backhoe installed. Prior to the dealer putting on the BH, I had been using the tractor with no problems. Operation of the BH was fine. After I disconnected it to use my box-scrapper, I noticed what sounded like escaping air when I lifted the 3pt. I checked and found nothing. I went ahead and started to scrape my road when in about 5 min the tractor overheated. It had been fine previously working the FL all day. So I called my dealer and he came out, crawled under the tractor and rotated a valve that he added when he put on the BH. No hissing noise, no over-heating. He said the valve is poorly documented and not marked per the instructions (he says this is common with Kioti manuals). He is also a new dealer.
I did a little research and found out this valve is the "power beyond" that came with the backhoe. His manual says its suppose to only move 45% but it spins 360. He adjusted it to where it stopped making noise and I did not have any problems over-heating that day. He came back after talking to Kioti and re-adjusted. Now I have the hissing again, but haven't noticed any over-heating. Soo.....my question....
Thru research (I'm still quessing here), I found out I am "open system". This valve essentially opens the port to the rear attachments. Now...the big mystery.... when open to the rear attachment, does it depend on the open circuit in the device? ie. it closes off its internal loop effectively turning it into a close system on the onboard hydraulics? When my backhoe is off, should I rotate close this valve? what is the proper position for BH on...BH off? (no karate kid jokes please) /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif If the valve is open-circuit, I guess that explains the hissing noise...its just the hydraulics running thru it. I don't understand the over-heating unless closing the circuit made the pump overheat.
My dealer came by early when I wasn't home so I dont' have the answers, and he is having trouble getting them from Kioti.
Any help understanding this would be appreciated.
