Don't know for sure on the 54, but no mulch kit for the 60 or 72 (I have). Was a bit concerned, but find it totally satisfactory. Even cutting wet grass no clumping or visible cut grass laying around. Ask for a demo to see if it will perform as you need for your situation. Might be surprised--I was. Good luck.
