portable dvd cd-rw

Ok I have a question for you all I am wondering if they make a portable dvd, cd-rw player where I can take pictures from the digital camera and burn them onto the portable cd-rw and at view them on the player?
That way I wouldn’t have to take a laptop with me.
I would only have to take the combination DVD cd-rw player while I am on vacation and I could play DVDs while on a long plane ride.

I have never heard of the cd-rw being coupled to a portable DVD player. I might however suggest a call to your local Best Buys as those boys know electronics like The Daytona Speedway knows Nascar. If theres one made they'll know it.

I was thinking I saw a sony camera that uses a CD and burns the picture direct onto it when you take it skipping the transfer, but I could have been dreaming it!!!!

Spencer200 is correct. Sony does make a viedeo camera that burns directly onto a DVD. I believe the DVD is slightly smaller in diameter that a regular DVD, but I think that most DVD players can play it.
If you bought this camera, you could use it and your portable DVD player to view the pictures without carrying a laptop with you.

Look at the Addonics MFR (Multi Function Recorder) and the Apacer Disc Steno CP-100.

Neither of these has a LCD screen. The MFR has TV output so in combination with a LCD TV it will do everything you want.
