Poor bucket lifting power

Do your loader arms leak down when left up in the air?
If so, you have at least one lift cylinder leaking internally.

As another member said, 700 lbs at the pins isn't much.

I don't know about turning it up. Would larger cylinders help?

I shimmed the pressure relief valve under the seat on my 790 Compact Tractor 15 or more years ago and am very happy with the additional lift capacity. It's not IMO unsafe or beyond the capacity of rams, pins, or the frame. Here's a post I found with the link to the thread: "
Had very good luck installing the shim kit on my 790. It's part number AM875169. Others have tested it and it increases the pressure to 2500 psi.
I don't know the exact lift capacity, but I have a disk that weighs just under 1200 pounds and it handles it well now. It would not lift it before. That makes the tractor plenty light on the front end, even with the loader attached. I have had no problems so far, nor has anyone else I've heard of.
To install the shims slide the seat forward and open the cap on the far right. It's the taller cap and is under spring tension. Pay attention to how you put them in, if I remember correctly, they go right underneath the cap. What you're doing is setting the spring tighter on the relief valve so that the pressure is allowed to build higher before the oil by passes.

Would shimming this relief valve under the seat of the 790 also help the 3ph lifting heavier attachments out back ?

I mean, 700lbs at the pins is probably 500lbs realistically? Can it lift that?

A CUT will lift 2500-3000 at the pins. A very big difference

Yes, shimming the relief valve will increase lifting power at *all* hydraulic implement attachment points. I did the same on my baby x595 because the loader was not much help at all. I think it could get 300ish pounds up originally. It was running 800 psi as I received it. I shimmed the implement relief valve to get about 2,000 psi and it's *much* better now. Just be *absolutely sure* to use proper ballast - it's *very* important on smaller machines - and keep any heavy load as low as possible to the ground.

Older thread.

Did the OP ever get it figured out? Test hydraulics?

Bad advice to say that a loader leaking down is seals and bypassing internally. (for anyone else in the future that reads this) So I wanted to make that correction
