Just wondering if anybody has every used this company insulation4less.com for insulation products. I知 adding on to on exiting polebarn and figured I壇 insulate the roof of the the addon and maybe the rest at a later time to cut down on heat transfer and condensation.
Thanks

It looks like a good product. Closed cell is best. Biggest problem with pole barns and metal buildings is sealing all the edges. If air can get around at the edges water will condense above. I have seen fiberglass fall down completely from the shear weight of water accumulation. Closed cell won't absorb water but it will accumulate above it.

What type of insulation are you wanting to buy from them?

Closed cell spray foam directly onto the bottom of the metal is the best. Never use open cell, it holds moisture and over time it rusts out the metal from the foam touching it.

Bubble wrap and those types of insulation deteriorate over the years. Probably from the extreme heat off of the metal.

If a flat ceiling is possible, my favorite, best bang for you dollar, is to use blown in insulation 2 feet thick. Atticat is by far my favorite. Then the air coming in from the eaves and leaving through a ridge vent will keep the metal dry so condensation is never an issue, and the space below the ceiling is always very comfortable.
