I am needing a trailer for my tractors and equipment. I have been borrowing 2 differnt trailers from family, but the time has come for me to get my own. Here is some information. For my smaller tractor (JD 5303) I have been using my Father in Law's goose neck 24' flat bed low boy. I really like the way this trailer pulls and I like its low center of gravity, but it lacks 2 or 3 inches being wide enough for my larger tractors. For my larger tractors, I have borrowed my uncles 24 ft. gooseneck flat bed float. I dont pulling the tractors on and off of the deck because it is considerably higher and Im always afraid of driving off the edge (no rail)
I need to be able to haul my 2 large tractors. They are Ford 7710 II 4wd with cab and New Holland TB 110 4wd with FEL. I spoke with a local trailer mfg and asked about having a flatbed lowboy custome made wide enough for the large tractors. He said it would not be highway legal but it would probably be fine for county and FM roads. I was planning (2) 7000 lb axles (torsion) .
I willl be using the following 3 pt. implements: (10' disk .) 6' bush hog shredder) and the following drag type (10' Rhino shredder and 8" offsed JD disk)
What type of trailer would you suggest? What tires, how many, etc. Any and all opinions welcomed.
