Came across this plant today, and liked it.

Did a lot of googling, and I cannot determine what it is.

Can someone ID this?

It's definitely from the rose family.

Yep. I was confused about what primrose looks like. The leaves, stems and thorns all say "rose."

Called "Knockout rose" around here - I planted 20 of them last fall purchased from Home Depot

Well...ID the rose, but nurseries know of it but don't have, like it's a rarity.

You might search for an online nursery that could send you a bare root plant.
Or you could just settle for the varieties that look similar. Both the knockout, and the homerun roses are very easy to grow and disease resistant.
