we're in kansas city. 3 weeks ago we moved into a rental house. the back hard had a big overgrown tree that took up most of the back yard and killed all the grass. it was cut down and removed before we ever saw the house.
up untill 5 days ago it there has been 8 or 9 inches of snow on the ground and its been between -5 and +15 degrees. now its mid 30's to lower 40's. the snow is quickly melting and the back yard is a mud pit. would this be a good time to plant grass seed? i figure i can plant it now with the ground being muddy and it'll have a head start come spring.
