Planned New Lawn Tractor Purchase

This week I plan on buying either the Simplicity Regent EX or Regent Lawn Tractor. The only major difference between the two models seem to be in transmissions used. The Regent EX uses a Tuff Torq K46 and the Regent uses the Hydro-Gear T2HP. Which transmission is considered better between the two? I thought I had read in the past that the K46 had been problematic across all of the brands for lawn tractors. Is that true? Thanks for your help!

Hydro-gear makes good transmissions and yes I have read about some tuff torq problems. Hydro Gear uses piston style pumps and motors which are a proven design for higher torque and horse power requirements.
