I'm probably missing something, but earlier today I placed an ad in the Classifieds section and now I can't seem to edit the body of the ad. I can edit the metadata associated with the ad though. What am I missing?

Use the edit link at the bottom of the post.

The link at the top is technically "edit thread" and the link at the bottom is "edit post" and they are again technically different things since the thread contains the title and meta data for the ad and the post is all of the body of the ad content. Not super user friendly but that's the workaround for the moment.

Note: For long posts I would recommend copying the block of text to a separate text editor in case things get messed up during the edit process, especially if you have formatting or tables in the post.

Is this (and other gems to be found) in some on line instructions someplace?

Got it. Had to do a double take to find it, though.

I would have preferred to break each item out into its own post, but the guidelines for Classified seem to indicate Members are only allowed one ad/month. Is this still the case?

Not yet, but maybe in the future and that would likely only apply to new members.

Those guidelines are 15 years old so I'll work on an update.

In the mean time feel free to post multiple ads for your items.
