Will it be red or green?

No !!, tired of Red, Tired of Green !!, ha,ha. This will be black and stainless steel with chrome trim. I just finished painting the dolly for the 54" plow. It rolls around great. I kept the footprint less than the plow. I used more recycled metal and wheels from the tables. plow dolly two.jpgplowdollyone.jpg

That grill cart looks like it has a hand brake.

Don't give him any ideas . Chrome hub caps maybe. Waldon, I'm always reading to see what you're doing next.

Thanks , No need for a handbrake, ha,ha. Today I bought a cheap toolbox to support the flat grill. You can also see the new 15" tall tires and mag wheel covers I will use on this project.
The Acorn smoker will be mounted on the left side of the gas grill. Everything will sit on a low profile frame all attached together. The drawers will hold all utensils and campfire lighters, fire starters, wood chips, etc. I always wanted to tweak a bbq grill. This should be pretty cool when done.:cool2:bbqcart.jpg

All of these carts are so useful and cool looking, well done. As I was browsing through I was waiting for you to say you had decided to make a cart for your hydraulic lift, so you can work on tractors outside on a sunny day. ;)

I like the idea for the BBQ cart. You may not want to customize it to be too tightly designed for that BBQ, since if you are anything like me a BBQ usually doesn't last more than about 5 years before it rusts away on the inside and out. Of course modifying the cart to fit the next one you get may just be another fun job for you anyway. :)

Thanks for the kind words, yes in 5 years I'll be ready to tweak it again, ha,ha. 21 degrees this morning but still headed out to the shop. My 110,000 BTU space heater runs just 5 minutes every 30 minutes to keep the chill out. The small space and low ceiling and plenty of insulation makes it pretty cozy. I dress warm and keep moving and it is perfect working conditions. I got the axles made and the main frame started. Normally I don't go out to the shop if it is below 10 degrees. But these projects have been such fun. :rolleyes:axles.jpg

I thought I would share my 40 year old grill , the base rusted out and I tweaked it . It was working great for grilling and a ride on toy until I hit it with the loader bucket under the snow. I also tweaked the old portable air compressor, doubling as a ride on toy Deb had fun pulling me and my grandson around :drink:gas grill 010.JPGmackinaw sea shell city 027.JPG

Tri-Axle BBQ Grill Cart progress today - I worked on the rear of the frame and built a shelf for a extra 30lb LP tank, a bag of charcoal and a fire starter can. I also built the first fender. Tomorrow I will move to the front of the frame and start the steering and the design to mount the Komado Grill .:drink:tri-axle.jpg

Wow, lot a great work! Any trouble with heat with the welding cart? Duty cycle reduction?

No trouble with heat on the welders so far. The little bit of welding I do it gets quite a bit of air circulation all through the rear of the cart. It is all open in the back. Todays cart progress I started mounting the Komato Grill on the front frame section. I'm trimming the legs and fabricating new supports that go better with the overall smooth look of the frame. Next I will scratch build a tie rod steering axle assembly for the front. I am pleased how this is looking so far. It will be fun to use it this summer. komado.jpg

Front axle - I have the spindle parts cut out, drilled and welded together now. I built the front tube axle and have the first spindle assembly welded to the axle. You can see my sketch of the T-handle / steering mechanism I will start cutting out parts for tomorrow. I should get this project done by this weekend. :thumbsup:spindles.jpg

Today I cut out, drilled and welded the parts for the steering. You can see the brackets where the T-handle will attach. Tomorrow I will fine tune the tie rod bars before I do the final welds . Still looks rough but It should work great and be plenty strong with 3/4" axles and pivot pins.steering assembly.jpg

Wow. Other than the tie rod ends you built everything from scratch didn't you? Waldon, gotta ask what did you do for your lively hood in your hay day.? Impressive.

Yes, I cut most of the metal out of 5/16" plate with the plasma cutter. I was a meat cutter for 20 years but the cold meat room started effecting my fingers and other meat cutters were getting arthritis so I decided not to keep cutting meat. Then I did lawn care and snow removal and built models for 20 years. I enjoyed that but it is time to relax and enjoy life now. I still like to putter in my little workshop.
Today I cut some more plate steel and drilled it and welded it to the axle and bolted it to the main frame. Also got the T-handle made. It moves very nice. Tomorrow I will work on the rear lift axles. They are just sitting there right now and not attached. The extra axles are just for fun, I love lots of tires, ha,ha.:thumbsup:axle 1.jpgaxle2.jpg

Ha, Ha, I got too many things around here to drive now. I am almost done now with the bbq pit cart . Just going to make a overhead rack to hang a few things.signs 1.jpgsigns 2.jpg

The signage is a nice touch. I'm curious if the center wheels get in the way of your feet when using that section.

Thanks, the signs did help. I wondered the same thing about the two forward rear tires. I made it so they can be removed in less than one minute just in case.
I made progress on the overhead rack today. I also made a narrow shelf on it . This will be very handy for all the grilling tools. Actually the bottom drawer won't open with the wheels in the way so that is another reason I made them quick slide off . overhead rack.jpg
