I bought the Piranha for the surface area it has. That being all the metal under the leading edge of my bucket. To me this surface is sacrificial when moving snow on our long gravel drive to not ware on the bucket edge. Id say I bought it 80% sacrificial ware, 20% other jobs.
It does work well in cutting brush, and fairly well with digging. However it did take a bit of learning curve to remember it is out there in front and what angle to use it at to keep from gouging into the driveway.
By nest winter I'm going to invent and build a clip on for the bucket to scarify the surface of ice as once the solid winter base of our driveway was frozen this year it has been broken hip dangerous to walk on. The Piranha bar works OK for etching the ice surface, but I can invent better.
My 5 cents of experience and opinion.
