Pipe Wrench only option?

My FEL lift cylinders on my B7800 started seeping after 19 years. Bought the seal kits but had to build a tool to remove the end caps. Put a 24” breaker bar on the welded nut and had to lean on it almost all my weight to break it loose.

@marrt You might also look into a large chain wrench, aka chain tongs, or chain pipe tongs. You can get 30-36" versions on Amazon for about $100, but read the fine print, as many aren't really that big.

(I haven't purchased this version, but it appears to be a 30" handle.)
There are a couple vintage 40"+ ones on eBay at the moment.
